Invention Process: How to Invent | MAKO Design + Invent

How to Invent

June 13, 2012

Have you ever thought, “Life would be so much easier if I had something that could do this?” That question is what separates an invention idea from reality. Coming up with the idea is the first vital step of the invention process.

The first step after discovering a good idea is to figure out a feasible solution in order to have a chance of producing, selling, and/or licensing your invention.  It’s important to have a clear idea of what you want your invention to do and how it’s going to do the things you want it to.  Having an abstract idea, while a good starting point, isn’t enough to get you through the actual process and come out with something tangible.

Potential buyers looking to purchase or licence your idea need a solid grip of how your product is designed, how it works, where it will be manufactured, how its intellectual property will be protected, etc.  Inventing something from scratch, especially when you’re not likely to have a lot of experience in design or technology, might seem daunting at first, but that’s when companies like MAKO Design + Invent come in.

Our purpose is to provide new product help by giving you an idea of what to expect from your invention in terms of a variety of variables. After assessing your idea, we’ll begin the product development process by putting together the materials needed to make your idea a reality.  We’ll help you come up with a prototype along with procution sources and unit costs for end-buyers.  Once you’re satisfied with the result, we can help with sales and distribution of your product to get it put on store shelves like dozens of our clients!

Our purpose is to help you invent.
