What’s old is new again. Have you seen this Samsung phone? It’s an amazing clamshell invention design that’s sure to make even the most diehard Apple fanatic do a double-take. The Galaxy Flip3 is the newest flip phone from Samsung. Smaller and lighter than its Fold3 counterpart, the Flip3 has been receiving great reviews across the board.
It’s amazing that something this small can pack so much tech. The first of its kind, the Flip3 features the first-ever folding glass screen on a Galaxy made from Samsung Ultra Thin Glass. Thanks to their Hideaway Hinge, it’s a seamless experience. There are no breaks or lines on the screen when you unfold this futuristic clamshell invention design. When you fully unfold the phone, you’re treated to 6.7” of AMOLED goodness, which is a touch larger than the iPhone 12 screen. Get notifications and control your phone even when it’s closed with the intuitive cover screen.
There’s a new way to use the 10MP inner camera too. Fold the screen, like an L-shape, to adjust the camera until you get the perfect angle for your selfies, Tik Tok, live stream or vlog, – no stand needed. Fold it up all the way and you can use the higher-quality 12MP front camera for selfies as well.
The battery life, however, leaves much to be desired. Presumably, the form of this clamshell invention design doesn’t leave much space for the battery in tandem with the other components. As a result, the Flip3 is equipped with just a 3,300mAh “all-day” battery compared to the Google Pixel 5 which boasts a 4,080mAh battery. The Flip3’s battery is more powerful than the iPhone 12 series; however, Samsung’s new phone is just not as energy efficient. Thus, Forbes reported that they only got about nine to eleven hours of battery life on a single charge.
As for the finish, the Flip3 clamshell invention design comes in four stunning finishes. Cream, Phantom Black, Green, and Lavender.
