MAKO Spotlight: Our New Vice President of Strategy

by | May 10, 2017 | Company News, Invention News, Staff Spotlight

With 2017 nearly half way complete, it’s hard to believe how fast our electrical design firm has raced through the year! We’ve seen new partnerships, a national invention contest, a mention on The Ellen Show, and some amazing new products. To top it all off, our electrical design firm has welcomed some new kick-ass staff! Welcome to the team to our new Vice President of Strategy, Kareem Sherif!

What It Takes to be the VP. Of Strategy at our Electrical Design Firm

Before he joined our electrical design firm, Kareem was the Director of Sales at Amico, where he managed the company’s international business development, with a special focus on the European and Australian markets. Within just 3 short years, Kareem secured 12 new partners and generated nearly a 10 times revenue growth of the international business line. So, naturally we scooped him up for our team!

Our electrical design firm welcomes Kareem!

MAKO’s new Vice President of Strategy, Kareem Sherif.

Kareem has proven over and over again that his wealth of experience in different markets gives him an edge on strategic thinking. This edge gives Kareem the keen ability to deliver key insights and recommendations to our clients through every step of the design and manufacturing process. His affluence for strategic thinking combined with his passion for driving entrepreneurship and innovation makes him a force to be reckoned with here at MAKO!

“I love seeing the creativity and innovation that inspires people from so many different backgrounds and cultures! Every client we deal with at our electrical design firm has a unique story to share, and being able to hear those stories, and how these inspirations have shaped their lives is incredible.”

Beyond the Firm:

Outside of the office, Kareem spends his spare time hanging out with his family. When he’s not exploring Toronto by bike, or reading a few good books, Kareem is learning a new musical instrument. He will soon be adding Guitar Expert to his resume, meaning our electrical design firm just got new in-house entertainment for our 5 pm beer o’clock on Fridays! Welcome to the team, Kareem!
