MAKO’s Top Level Designers to Appear on National TV Show Make 48

MAKO’s Top Level Designers to Appear on National TV Show Make 48

As inventors ourselves, we know what it’s like to tinker with every concept and tiny detail of an invention. Our industrial design company will help create products with both short and long timelines depending on the specifications. So, what happens when you add a 48-hour deadline to bring an invention from concept to a finished prototype? That’s the new hit-show airing on PBS from coast to coast in the U.S. called Make-48 featuring some of MAKO’s top Designers and Engineers.

Members from our industrial design company will be on the judging panel for season 2 of Make48.

A team pitches their prototype to their judging panel in season 1 of Make48.

Make48: Inventing Against the Clock

Teams of inventors will apply to the show for a chance to compete by developing a new commercial product idea in a 48-hour invent-a-thon weekend. Each competition has new specifications for the teams, which are revealed to them before the show kicks off. At our industrial design company, we call this the project brief. Within the 48-hours, the teams must build a prototype using a variety of tools, materials, and expert guidance, and then pitch their prototype to the judges. The top 3 team will receive a licensing agreement and their products will go to market.

Our Industrial Design Company Provides Expert Guidance on Make48

As our industrial design company is a Gold Level Sponsor of the show, a few of our best Designers and Engineers provided their expert level guidance for the season 2 episode. The MAKO team also helped judged the fiercely competitive competition and will be designing the 1st place prize. We can’t let anything else slip before the show airs, so you will have to check it out for yourself! For more information on our industrial design company on Make48, stay tuned for their season 2 information or like MAKO on Facebook for all the latest updates.

Make 48 is also sponsored by famous brands that we inventors and tinkerers know and love, including Black + Decker, Stanley Tools, and Indiegogo.
