Invention Design for Kids in Canada: MAKO's Top Children's Toys in 2021

MAKO’s Top Toys for Kids in 2021

Following up on last week’s blog about our favorite inventions for babies, we wanted to share our favorite picks for parents who have children that are a little older than babies and toddlers. In an age where so many kids are drawn to the latest hit video game or viral Tik Tok videos, we love seeing innovative toys that encourage creativity and learning. Parents, pay attention, this blog is about invention design for kids in Canada.

Moonlite invention design for kids in Canada

Moonlite

Probably one of the biggest success stories here at MAKO. Thanks too Moonlite, bedtime stories have never been more fun. Our client’s Moonlite is a storybook projector that ingeniously makes use of the flashlight on your smartphone to project stories on walls. In addition, your kids can enjoy read-along features and cute sound effects as they progress through the story. Each story comes on a rotating Story Reel that you can swap with ease.

This invention design for Kids in Canada won Gold in the world-renown IDA product design awards once again proving the power of a brilliantly simple design. What’s even more impressive are the numerous celebrity endorsements this product has received through the years. Huge names such as Whitney Port, Rachel Zoe, Jessica Alba, Kelly Rowland, Jaime King, and Kristen Bell had nothing but amazing things to say about MAKO’s client, Moonlite. To top it all off, in 2017, Spin Master announced a global licensing partnership with Moonlite and you can find their products on the shelves of big-box stores such as Walmart, Mastermind Toys, Indigo, and Best Buy. Today, they’re partnering with folks like Disney so kids have a brand new way to enjoy classics like Frozen and The Lion King.

Lego Large Creative Brick Box

Lego Large Creative Brick Box

It’s exactly what it sounds like. A big box of bricks that’s a bang for your buck. It’s not a pre-designed set. There isn’t a partial no theme either. Thus, it’ss the perfect invention design for kids in Canada who want to express their creativity without boundaries. It comes with a whopping 790 pieces in 33 different colors. I can’t imagine how much time it’ll take to actually use all those pieces, especially in a single build. It’s the perfect toy for kids who want to build freely without taking apart your other favorite sets or running out of pieces. If 790 pieces are too overwhelming to start with, this brick box comes with a build booklet with some building ideas to help spark your child’s imagination.

Crayola Washable Paint Kit

Kids are often at their best when they’re the messiest. It’s just the aftermath that no parent wants to deal with. While crayons and colored pencils are fun, there’s just something about liquid paint that’s so much more fun. Maybe it’s the versatility? When using this invention design for kids in Canada, your child could use a paintbrush to create pieces of art. Or if they’d rather, they also have the option of using their hands to create finger art. Whatever they end up creating, we know you can’t wait to show it off on your refrigerator door.
