Mako Passes Prejudging Phase for the Red Dot Awards!

If you’re a fan of design, communications and brands design, product design and design concepts, you are probably already definitely aware of the infamous Red Dot Awards. At Mako, we are passionate about innovation in the design industry and it is with great pleasure to reveal that we have made it past the prejudging phase for the coveted and notorious Red Dot Design Awards!

What are the Red Dot Awards?

The Red Dot Awards is an internationally based award established since 1955 by Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, the found of Red Dot. The Red Dot Award is annually given to those who strive to distinguish their business activities through design. The awards are awarded by a carefully selected panel of judges that excel and are recognized in the area of product design, communications design, and design concepts. This jury honors the award through principles of both selection and presentation. There are three different disciples of the Red Dot Award, which are: Product Design, Communications Design and Design Concept.

Mako Passes the Pre-Judging Phase

The Go Fish Cam that the team at Mako consulted, planned, designed, built and polished for release is proudly nominated for receiving the concept category: Recreation – Ready To Launch. This is a huge accomplishment and honor for the team and growth of Mako. We take huge pride in having one of our designs being considered for such a prestigious award and hope that this opportunity allows for further growth in showcasing the pride and quality that we take when developing work with clients, but also our passion in innovation and conceptual design development. With these qualities and driven passion Mako was also named in Inc 5000’s list as one of the Fastest Growing Companies, another great recognition to our mission in leading in product design and innovation!

Past Awards

Mako has received past awards from other notorious design awards, and with high hopes look forward to having the coveted red dot award added onto our roster. Some of our past work/designs such as the Bennetti Watch which won Gold in the Indigo Design Awards, and was nominated for best product design in the London International Awards the and the Kharaband that was nominated for a special and coveted design awards known as the IoT/Wt Innovation World Cup.

Each win or nomination is a reminder to the team about why Mako is passionate in what we hope to achieve for the future of design, and drives us to continue to build with the future of product design everyday.
