Bread Invention Design: MAKO's Favorite Cooking Products Part 2

MAKO’s Favorite Cooking Products in 2021 Part 2

It’s time for second helpings! We’re back again with Part 2 of our favorite invention designs for cooks! Our previous blog explored our client’s Intellipan and some other great inventions that will surely become a staple in your kitchen. In this blog, we’ll be exploring bread invention design and products. Because what beats the smell of freshly baked bread!

Keeki Bag bread invention design

Keeki Bag

Don’t you hate it when you leave bread out just a day too long? What was once soft and welcoming has transformed into an inedible brick, more suitable for building houses than it is for human consumption. Our client created the Keeki Bag to solve this problem with this bread invention design and keep your bread fresher for longer. The Keeki Bag is a natural, plastic-free alternative to store your bread. This is a linen bag lined with beeswax allowing the bread to breathe without drying out. Typical plastic bread bags, on the other hand, keeps moisture in and encourages the growth of mold. The cherry on top? They donate a portion of all sales to the Ontario Nature conservation charity. A charity that protects wild species and spaces including bees and other wild pollinators.

Escali Scale

Escali Primo P115C Kitchen Scale

Ask any bread-making enthusiast and they’ll tell you that making bread is a science. So especially when you’re making dough, you’ll want to weigh out your ingredients rather than measuring their volume for the best results. Our pick goes to the lightweight, minimal bread invention design of the Escali Primo P115C. Two buttons are all you need to operate this machine. One to power it on and off, and the other to tare. Get fast and accurate readings of measurements as tiny as one gram. It also has a capacity of up to 11 lbs. Another added bonus is that you won’t need to keep pressing the on/off button, it’s there when you need it thanks to the long, four and a half minute auto-delay function.

Norpro Scraper

Norpro Stainless Steel Scraper

After a few uses, you’ll be asking yourself how did I ever cook without this bread invention design? Bench scrapers are deceptively useful. Sure you can pull apart dough with your bare hands, but a good bench scraper makes it so much easier and cleaner. The one by Norpro features a six-inch ruler so you can measure out your dough with ease. The great thing about a bench scraper is that you can use it for more than just dough. In fact, the coolest thing about this design is the rounded handle is flat on one side. That way, you’ll be able to lie it flat on your cutting board to scrape up any chopped garlic, ginger, or anything else that is normally hard to pick up!
