As a well-established product design firm, here at MAKO Design + Invent, we interact with our clients on a very close basis in order to be very transparent about the design process and the development of an inventor’s product.

We are a team of positive, friendly and happy people who are excited and passionate about design, growth and learning about new ideas and concepts every day! With three current open offices, each of the members in each office carries a unique and special persona that adds to the amazing quality of what makes MAKO so great.

We started the #MeetMako campaign to allow clients and future clients who are interested in working with us to learn more about who we are and who you’ll be working with! This campaign also serves as a great resource to learn about who will be helping you produce and develop your product and introduce to you a little more about who MAKO Design + Invent is, what it’s like to work here and the office culture!

Meet our CEO – Kevin Mako!

If you’ve been following us for a while, you should be aware of who Kevin is. For our #MeetMako, we stepped in a little deeper to get to know Kevin better and his thoughts about what it’s like being the present of MAKO Design + Invent!

As the president of MAKO Design + Invent, Kevin carries a lot of roles and responsibilities as he mainly has a foot in all aspects the company is involved in. From building the brand image to managing and creating partnerships, Kevin is always a step ahead in setting the vision to where the company is headed for the future.

Speaking on his past experiences, Kevin has been involved in the business for years as he explains his adult life revolved around many entrepreneurial ventures and a multitude of different educational pursuits in order to really become a master in his own field.

Kevin explains that, as the president of MAKO Design + Invent, it’s important to achieve the best results by creating a strong team with systems and tools that help empower the amazing world-class designers we have within our team. With an empowered and talented team, delivering top-tier products for our clients is no problem!

The Best Design Tips from the President of MAKO Design + Invent

As the president of MAKO Design + Invent, Kevin explains that one of his favourite things about working at MAKO is being able to turn product ideas into successful product businesses. One of the important tips that Kevin has to offer for designing is to keep it simple.

Having a clear and simple design is key to creating a cost-effective product that is quick to manufacture, quick to market and, most importantly, quick to understand as a consumer. Having an inexpensive but functioning product also allows the inventor to reinvest in bigger plans and the future of their product business.

Another big tip Kevin shares’ is to never procrastinate. In other words, when entering the design world, it is important to hustle as much as possible and to keep that momentum going throughout your whole product and business career. Get things done, and do not wait around for the next stage of growth!

Finally, Kevins’ biggest motivations as the president of MAKO Design + Invent are being able to work with amazing world-class designers, innovators, entrepreneurs and partners!
